Job Description

Advanced Application Engineering Manager (Accenture LLP; Columbus, OH): Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Advanced Application Engineering Manager in Columbus, OH, and the job duties are as follows:

  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
  • Develop or update project plans for information technology projects, including documentation such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing.
  • Develop system specifications and interfaces for moderately complex components.
  • Create operational documentation for the application.
  • Provide primary support for installation of application releases into production.
  • Maintain applications according to SLAs.
  • Work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle on engineering solutions for new system roll outs, major/minor enhancements, and/or ongoing maintenance of existing applications.
  • Understand strategic direction set by senior management and implement methods and procedures set by management.
  • Work with team members to gather and interpret user/system requirements into design specifications.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the IT consulting industry.


Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Designing and developing applications on Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
  • Orchestrating containers using Kubernetes;
  • Writing containerized applications using Docker;
  • Utilizing Java Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition libraries;
  • Writing Microservices and APIs on Spring Boot;
  • Writing continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Concourse and Spinnaker;
  • Utilizing ServiceNow tool for service support;
  • Driving critical architectural and design decisions, and suggesting improvements on ongoing performance issues;
  • Project management, including creating teamwork plans and tracking issues and risks; and
  • Leading system integrations and production maintenance teams, and driving enhancements and defect fixes.

Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client needs.
