About this Position:

The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting Mass Production Quality issues. This includes problem identification, problem analysis, problem reporting, and supporting problem resolution.

Responsibilities include:

* Lead and support collaborative problem solving and countermeasure activity (Both complex and non) with related departments using PDCA (GDP, RPU, IQS,PQS, Warranty)

* Perform technical in-depth analysis related to production issues to improve quality metrics

* Utilize quality tools to lead problem analysis (Drawing analysis, Catia, Romer Layout Equipment, Scanner Layout Equipment, etc.)

* Lead meetings to drive countermeasure activity

* Communicate daily quality concerns & issues related to production in team/department/plant meetings

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

* One term as a co-op at Honda or in a similar manufacturing environment preferred

Required Education:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial, robotics) or 6 years' equivalent experience

Desired skills:

* Problem analysis skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word), CAD (Catia, and AutoCAD), Time management.

* Ability to: read drawings/flowcharts/specifications; trouble shoot problems; multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and tasks; work in a team environment as well as independently; and present to varying audiences.

Additional Position Factors:

* Ability to travel, both domestic and international

* Weekend and Holiday work may be required

* Moderate lifting may be required.

* Independent, conscientious worker that is able to make appropriate decisions toward problem solving

* Can balance multiple priorities and clearly communicate project status to management and production

* Able to work with a diversity of associates without creating barriers or conflict
