Job Description

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health is seeking a faculty member to join our Section of Psychology to complement our current strengths and enhance our research mission. We seek to hire a senior faculty to help expand the research mission of EPICENTERour department psychosis program. We are specifically looking for a psychologist whose research spans the development, deployment, and dissemination of evidence-based treatments for individuals early in the course of a psychotic disorder, including both individuals with first-episode psychosis and individuals at clinical high risk for developing a psychotic disorder. This individual should have experience evaluating such effort across multiple end points, including clinical and functional outcomes, treatment satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness. Experience and demonstrated expertise in evaluating the mechanisms and moderators of treatments for individuals early in the course of psychosis is required. The candidate must have a strong record of research funding across a combination of Federal and State sources, success in obtaining philanthropic support, and expertise in developing a leading clinical, education, and research programs with regard to early psychosis. The ideal candidate will also have established a national reputation a leader in specialized care for individuals early in the course of a psychotic disorder (e.g., participation on national committees relevant to this population, consulting with States in developing, deploying, and disseminating care for individuals in the early course of a psychotic disorder, etc.).

Faculty will join a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians and scientists in EPICENTER and the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. Individuals in these positions will have opportunities to contribute to training, research, and other scholarly pursuits as well. The successful candidates will join a 50+ member Section of Psychology with robust training opportunities, including a psychology pre-doctoral internship program. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in Psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited clinical program, and an accredited clinical internship. Tenure faculty (regardless of rank) - persons with the titles of professor, associate professor, assistant professor and instructor who serve on appointments totaling 50% or more service to the university and who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. Duties and responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines laid out in the pattern of administration of each faculty members tenure initiation unit (TIU) and, as appropriate, regional campus; obligations will include research, service and/or teaching or clinical practice. These faculty will have earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study or possession of equivalent experience.
