Job Description

Worthington Enterprises is hiring a Compensation & Total Rewards Analyst. This role will be part of the Human Resource Compensation Team. This role will focus on compensation related projects and analysis that supports the Worthington Enterprises compensation strategy with an emphasis on evaluating pay and the connection to financial and business impact. This role requires strong analysis skills and will have responsibility for the development, analysis and implementation of various incentive-based compensation programs. The Compensation / Total Rewards Analyst will also be responsible for ensuring market-competitive compensation structures for hourly and salaried positions which may include: annual market reviews and overseeing merit processes; ad hoc market reviews related to new or changing roles; development and evaluation of internal position descriptions; providing annual employee communications, etc. Conducts and participates in compensation surveys facilitated by third party vendors. In addition, this role will work closely with the payroll and benefit groups to assist with various employee health, welfare, retirement, and payroll tasks. The ideal candidate is an organized, analytical, problem-solver with the ability to prioritize tasks.

This is a hybrid role; you can plan to be in office 2 or 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for annual market reviews and merit processes for the hourly and salary groups. Recommends structural changes and merit budgets to senior management to account for shifts in external market compensation.
  • Provides guidance to managers and HR consistent with the Company's compensation philosophy regarding compensation issues. Provides compensation analysis and offer letters, as needed, for salaried new hires, promotions, position changes, etc.
  • Participates in special projects related to various incentive compensation programs and may provide support for administering programs.
    Supports the payroll and benefit functions on various tasks and deliverables.
  • Maintains external market survey database matches and market pricing system. Participates in external market survey questionnaires to reduce data costs. Evaluates and recommends surveys to be included in market comparisons.
  • Evaluates roles and responsibilities and recommends placement of new and modified positions in the compensation structure based on market value, internal equity and proper FLSA classification. Audits process to ensure consistent application of roles and responsibilities.
  • Participates in the development and maintenance of the company's compensation policies, procedures, practices and compensation structures. Analyzes pay practices and recommends changes when needed (i.e., FLSA, overtime guidelines, etc.)
  • Participates in the development and implementation of various strategic projects/initiatives and process improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • 3+ years of human resources, financial or business analysis or compensation related experience
  • Bachelors degree in Business related field or equivalent experience
  • CCP certification preferred (but not required)
