RESPONSIBILITIES #Ll-Remote

  • Responsible for all aspects of CRA from a leadership and strategic perspective, including Development, implementation and oversight of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) strategy, program, procedures, policies for Park (inclusive of all lines of business) based on new and evolving CRA landscape
  • This role provides monitoring of activity to ensure that the bank meets the needs of the community and attains its CRA goals, while designing controls to mitigate risk and meet regulatory expectations.
  • Manage, monitor and consult with management to develop a comprehensive CRA strategy for all assessment areas; including but not limited to lending (home lending, small loans to businesses, and small loans to farms), Community Development Investments, and Community Development Services (including branch accessibility and service offerings).
  • Provide analytics on data, recommend adjustments, gain collaboration, ensure vision/adjustments are communicated, create follow up and document
  • Create and maintain documentation/scorecards of CRA activity in a manner that ensures data validity and scalability
  • Lead and partner to improve efficiencies and automate current monitoring and reporting processes
  • Establishes and maintains a collaborative working relationship with all areas of the bank; gain consensus and directs activities in cooperations with applicable lines of business leaders for all areas of the bank toward achieving the established CRA goals.
  • Conducts annual Assessment Area review and makes recommendations to Business Management about bank lending, investing, and support of community organizations.
  • Provide support / assist in development of new products and branch strategies to ensure bank's lending programs, investment strategies, deposit products and other financial services are designed to further the goals and objectives of the bank's CRA program.
  • Remain abreast of developments in CRA, including industry best practices and emerging risks and trends Keeps abreast of all rules/regulations pertaining to CRA and industry trends and develop a library of CRA resources. Collects and distributes information related to the CRA and other topical subjects
  • Coordinate internal and external examinations including auditors for HUD recertification
  • Maintain regulatory and investor compliance calendar for vendors and maintain corporate procedures
  • Coordinate and prepare fair and responsible banking meeting documents
  • Complete secondary market annual recertification process
  • Document responses to action plans and coordinate completion between mortgage origination and mortgage operations with appropriate departments including but not limited to compliance, risk and legal.
  • Document acceptable risk tolerances within the line of business
  • Review and implement with support of management matters as it relates to regulatory or compliance changes
  • Review regression analysis and recommend changes to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Research, analyze, and interpret complex regulations to respond to internal and external compliance-related inquiries
  • Responsible for coordinating necessary information for line of business with internal risk, compliance and audit as well as external regulator coordination in conjunction with corporate compliance.
  • Responsible for maintaining and reporting on the product management functions of mortgage, including relationships with investors, such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, in order to obtain and disseminate any changes in product or investor guidelines.
  • Coordinate any investor changes with Secondary/Pricing, Servicing, Sales, Credit and Operations
  • Present topics to management pertaining to potential issues noted, industry and fraud trends as well as investor guidelines
  • Responsible for procedure development and update including FACT ACT
  • Responsible for coordinating new business risk assessment process with Risk Management partners
  • Maintain awareness of and adherence to Bank's compliance requirements and risk management concepts, expectations, policies and procedures and apply them to daily tasks

  • Deliver a consistent, high level of service within our Serving More standards

  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION - CERTIFICATIONS - WORK EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related field OR equivalent years of experience in lending or risk and/or compliance
  • 8+ yrs experience in lending or risk and/or compliance

SCHEDULE

Typical office hours are M-F 8a-5p. This position is exempt and full-time. A minimum 40 hours is required per week.

This position is fully remote.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS AND OTHER INFORMATION

Travel within the Park National Ohio footprint, headquarters in Newark, Ohio, and to seminars or conferences is to be expected.

This position must be able to remain in a stationary position a maximum of 50% of the time, constantly operate a computer up to 50% of the time and be able to be in constant communication with coworkers, customers, and/or stakeholders to discuss and observe facts and data in order to exchange accurate information. Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 pounds on a regular, daily basis.
