The Continuous Improvement Manager builds a Culture of Operational Excellence. Together with the Plant Director, keep the strategy aligned to achieve PPG's Strategic Objectives. Member of the Site Leadership Team. Main promoter of Standard Work and Implementer of systems associated with Continuous Improvement, Work Teams, portfolio of Kaizen projects, Yellow Belt, Green Belt and generation of projects New Way of Working to generate benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze together with Plant Management the Strategic Objectives to establish potential projects that help reduce the gaps between indicators and goals to obtain tangible results of high value for the business.
Project Leaders Coach: Kaizen, DMAIC, PDCA Projects, Just Do It.
Carry out internal Campaigns or Initiatives that allow to reinforce the implementations of Continuous Improvement tools and systems.
Develop Internal Change Agents in the organization, participating in the deployment of the Lean Manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma methodology through the training of White, Yellow, Green and Black Belts who serve as project leaders being a coach in monitoring the main projects and Kaizen Leaders.
Manage the project portfolio (Kaizen, DMAIC, PDCA, Just Do It).
Coordinate support training
Lead the internal Continuous Improvement committee to review the progress of each area (Ideas Implemented, 5S, Savings, Lean Maturity Assessment Score)
With the finance area, carry out monthly validations for the official registration of savings generated by ongoing projects.
Facilitator in the implementation of Improvement projects, workshops, and best practices implementation with the purpose of increasing productivity, eliminating waste, reducing costs and standardizing operations that guarantee us.
Promoter of staff participation in the generation and implementation of improvement ideas.
Ensure the correct implementation of methodologies about Lean Manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma on the Site and sustaining Fundamental Tools
Facilitate communication between management and work teams.
Participate in the exchange of best practices within the PPG group.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical) or equivalent.
3-5 Years experience in chemical industry with emphasis in continuous improvement, Lean Six Sigma, Operational Excellence.
